We are is seeking to recruit a
Computational Chemist PhD (m/f)
The successful candidate will implement and drive the Computational Chemistry
strategy for drug discovery projects at all stages, in order to deliver the
highest standards of medicinal chemistry for the company. He/She will contribute
to the broader strategy of the Chemoinformatic Unit in the field of allosteric
modulation. He/she will collaborate across all discovery groups (such as
Medicinal Chemistry, HTS, in vitro pharmacology, Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics
Qualified candidates will have a PhD in computational chemistry or molecular
modeling with 2- 5 years Postdoctoral experience in computational chemistry
within the pharmaceutical industry. He/she should have in-depth knowledge and
expertise in more than one of the following areas: pharmacophore generation,
small molecule modeling, 2D/3D QSAR, docking and scoring, virtual screening, de
novo and ligand design methods, lead hopping, GPCR modeling and HTS analysis.
Demonstrated experience in applying modeling techniques to problems in the
pharmaceutical industry, ranging from lead identification to optimization of
compounds as preclinical candidates is essential.
A deep knowledge of fundamental molecular properties associated with all the
steps of the life of a drug compound and of key molecular processes in
pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic will also be requested.
