A biotechnology company in Toronto is seeking a Manager of Chemistry. You will be responsible for the identification and acquisition of chemical libraries for screening with proprietary molecular targets. You will develop strategic plans for chemical lead optimization, scale-up and formulation studies. You will manage the activities of external collaborators and service research organizations. 

Qualifications:

bullet

Ph.D. in Chemistry with experience in drug development

bullet

strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently

bullet

strong organizational skills

bullet

must have an innate ability to critically analyze SAR data and design related experiments

bullet

experience with steroids or lipids is an asset. 

Salary is negotiable. They pay full relocation costs and may provide an allowance for travel and accommodations during the transition. The positions are located in either Kingston, Ontario and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The company is rapidly growing biotechnology company involved in the discovery of small molecule therapeutic agents targeting a physiologically important class of enzymes called cytochrome P450s. Their initial drug discovery efforts are focused on dermatology and oncology.
