Molecular Modeler - Computational Scientist



Xavier University of Louisiana seeks 1-2 Ph.D. level research scientists to staff a new Molecular Modeling and Structure core facility.  Xavier is expanding molecular modeling capabilities in partnership with the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium (LCRC) to provide a core faculty that will support the broad computer aided drug design and molecular modeling needs of multiple LCRC cancer researchers at Xavier, Tulane and LSU Health Science Universities.  Along with good interpersonal and communication skills, three to five years project application experience using commercial modeling software is required.  Experience building, managing and screening virtual structure libraries as well as expertise with software from Tripos, Chemical Computing Group, OpenEye, Mol Networks, BioSolvIT and Cambridge is desired.  Send cover letter, CV, statement describing examples of project and software experience and the contact information for 3 references to: Dr. Thomas Wiese, Xavier University College of Pharmacy, twiese [at]
